Ski Midwest Gold Card

US-Ski-and-Snowboard-Hall-of-Fame-1-Faebook U. S. Ski and Snowboard Hall of Fame in Ispeheming, Michigan

How would you like to ski, and ride some of the Midwest's top ski areas next winter in Michigan, Wisconsin, and Minnesota every day of the season for around $600.

The U.S. Ski and Snowboard Hall of Fame will be offering their Ski Midwest Gold Card for around that price. The card entitles the holder to ski and ride all season long at over 25 of the Midwest’s top ski areas scattered throughout Michigan, Wisconsin and Minnesota. There are no blackout dates. You must be a current Patron of the Hall of Fame to buy a pass, and you can add that at the time of purchasing the card if you wish.

Although they have nothing currently posted on the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Hall of Fame website in past years the Midwest Gold Card went on sale around mid-May. You have to be a patron of the Hall of Fame, which is an annual fee of $125, to purchase the card. The cost of the card last year ranged from $450 to $600 depending on when you purchased it. In past years they limited the number of cards available to only 75, and they have sold out quickly. They have also had ski areas from South Dakota, Indiana and Missouri participate.

The Midwest Gold Card entitles you to ski every day of the season and last season. There are no blackout dates. For the person that likes to ski around the Great Lakes and likes to get out a lot, it's hard to beat this deal.

Located in Ishpeming in Michigan's UP, which is considered the birthplace of organized skiing in America. The Ski and Snowboard Hall is the only national hall of fame dedicated exclusively to skiing and snowboarding in America. It provides lasting recognition for American skiers and snowboarders who excelled nationally and internationally as either competitors or contributors to the advancement of snow sports in all forms. Proceeds from the sale of the Gold Cards helps preserve that heritage.

The Hall of Fame's annual snowsprort history celebration takes place this year in Park City, March 20-23.
