SnoCountry SnoShots: Midwest Ski/Ride Season Off To Great Start
The 2018-19 winter is off to a great start all across the Midwest. Most ski areas across the upper tier of the Heartland and around the Great Lakes opened in November, and the rest across the Lower Midwest, Ohio, Indiana and Missouri, opened this past weekend or scheduled to open next weekend.
Wild Mountain kicked off the season in October, and others like Buck Hill, Trollhaugen, and Ski Brule quickly followed in early November. Boyne Mountain, Boyne Highlands, Nubs Nob, Caberfae Peaks, Welch Village and Granite Peak experienced some of their earliest openings ever Nov. 16 and Nov. 17. The cold has remained in place and to all, Happy Holidays on the slopes.
