Adventure seekers can get their thrills in this summer when they visit one of Vermont’s resort adventure parks. Summer is calling and Vermont ski resorts have an adventure for everyone to embark on.

 

Get some air at Okemo. (Okemo)

Highlights at Okemo’s Adventure Zone include the Timber Ripper Mountain Coaster where sled-like cars carry riders along rails that twist, bank and loop. The Haulback Challenge Course offers suspended obstacles and ziplines. Sawyer’s Sweep Zipline Tour features suspension bridges, rappels, and seven zipline segments. Take a leap into a giant inflatable bag or combine trampoline jumping with bungee-cord tethers on the Stump Jumper Bungee Trampoline.

At Smugglers’ Notch, two aerial trekking courses incorporate over 90 elements such as wobbly bridges, balance beams, zip lines, rope swings and cargo nets connecting tree platforms. A tree climbing program blends belay technology with climbing holds. There’s also geocaching, custom rock climbing, and a Via Ferrata course blending hiking, rock climbing and high ropes adventure.

Bromley’s 23 rides and attractions include the classic triple track Alpine Slide. The Sun Mountain Flyer zooms at speeds up to 50mph over half a mile with a 700-foot vertical drop. The Aerial Adventure Park boasts 65 elements over five courses. And there's more: waterslides, mini golf, bungee trampolines and the Giant Swing.

(Killington)Killington’s Snowshed Adventure Center, features 15 attractions for all ages, including the Beast Mountain Coaster, dual ziplines across Snowshed Pond, a 40’ tower jump, summer tubing lanes, a four-story ropes course and 5,000 square foot maze below it, the Roaring Brook Mining sluice, ATV/UTV tours, Stand Up Paddle Boarding, kayaking and more.

Take Stowe’s gondola to the top and zip down three adrenaline-charged spans to the bottom. Stowe’s Tree Top Adventure entails a series of over 60 aerial tree-to-tree connections and various challenges. The guided activity is ideal for most ages and offers outstanding pre-programmed team-building facilities for groups.

Sugarbush offers several mountain activities outside of mountain biking, golf and hiking including two 18-hole disc golf courses, an 800’ zipline, bungee trampoline, kids zone, and scenic lift rides. The mountains and surrounding Mad River Valley act as their own adventure park with hiking, swimming holes, mountain bike trails and more.
